Outline :

Inroduction: Secretary and Administrative Office Skills is designed for office support staffs,secretary and/or front desk officers in any institutions that deal with the public. This course focuses on the most critical elements of the office skills that include such basic concepts: (1) information management, (2) office supplies/equipment management, (3) Record management and (4) Appointment/Time management for secretariat tasks . The class will explore the traits of interpersonal relationship(s) and how to successfully influence your parnter. Most importantly, this course will focus on the necessary communication tools for boosting up your office work. The General Office Skills is an practical 16-hours course that uses discussion, case studies and activities to help participants relate (in knowledge, attitude and behavior) to the new theories. The course focuses on establishing clear practices and procedures for applying the theories and advancing current concepts to improve the effectiveness and maintenance of office work.
 
A.GOAL: To strengthen capacities of participants in “Tasks and skills of administrator” so that he/she will become a smart office assistant.
 
B. OBJECTIVES:  By the end of the 2-day training, participants will be able to: 
  • Organize and manage specific information on how to welcome guest, phone etiquette, and mail-handling;
  •  Learn how to take accurate messages;
  • Manage the records with appropriate filling system;
  • How to handling the log book and inventory
  •  Learn to set up better appointments and time management
  • Learn how to take minute and take note
  • Learn how to write administrative letter
  •  Plan for implementation.
 C. EXPECTED OUTPUTS
 
1. Gained knowledge, skills, and technique for telephone etiquette and handling income and outgoing information
2. Develop the filing system in the office 
3. Develop logbook and inventory in the office
 
 D. Main Course Contents:
  • Managing information and working files
  • Records Management ( filing sytems, filing accessary,...........)
  • Managing office supplies, program material and office equipment
  • Organizing meeting and making appointments
  • Time managment 
  • Minute Taking & Note Taking
  • Administrative Letter Writing

Who should attend: Office support staffs, and/or front desk officers in any institutions that deal with the public.

Languages: Khmer language will be used by our professional trainers for the course with some technical English terms and handout is in Khmer and English.

Training Venue: G-Mekong Hotel,Mondol Kiri, Tonle Basac, Training Studio in Phnom Penh

Training Timing:  8:00am till 5:00pm two full intensive days

Free : Handout in Khmer and English- Handout in both hard copy and soft copy - Lunch for two days - Snack all training time – Software Tools for the course- Certificate of Attendance - Coaching after the course, Soft PTT, Training report if needed
 
Course Insurance: Workflow and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) development for your department, working Manual, regular mentoring and 2 follow up sessions for trained participants (100 % charges to the training fee)
