Outline :

Introduction: The Effective Facilitation Skills is designed for new trainers, moderator (MC) at any event or community workers whose role is to lead meeting, training workshop or study event for adult participants in their subject areas.

The course will provide skills in facilitating the meeting, training workshop or becomming moderator or MC in any event at large public. The course helps trainers or new facilitators to become familiar with popular methods flexible to adjust their methods to the situations in order to accomplish objectives of the meeting/training workshop through their facilitation skills

 A. GOAL: To strengthen capacities of participants in “facilitation skills” so that, he/she will become more effective team leader.
 
B. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the 2 day training, participants will be able to:
 
1. Understand the meaning of facilitation
2. Comparison of Authoritarian and facilitative style in leadership
3. Comparison of training, facilitating, and presenting
4. Roles and responsibilities of facilitator
5. How to use non-threatening questions to encourage participation 
6. Improve their skills in problem solving and decision making
7. How do facilitators get consensus
8. How to solve the major cause of poor meeting
9. Identify the stage of team life cycle and how facilitator deal with the situation of each stage 
10. Increase the facilitation skills in promoting participation on handle with participant in  meeting/workshop
11. How to facilitate brainstorming
12. Plan for implementation.
 
C. EXPECTED OUTPUTS
1. Gained knowledge, skills and techniques to be a good facilitator. 
2. Gained knowledge, skills and techniques to ask non- threatened questions to improve participation.
3. Gained knowledge, skills and techniques on facilitation skills to manage difficult situation.
4. Improved facilitation skills on problem solving and decision making
5. Developed plan for implementation at workplace

  • Tasks in post meeting

Who should attend: Trainers, facilitators, minute takers and reporters who are tasked with facilitating group discussions.

Languages: Khmer language will be used by our professional trainers for the course with some technical English terms and handout is in Khmer and English.
Training Venue: G-Mekong Hotel,Mondol Kiri, Tonle Basac, Training Studio in Phnom Penh
Training Timing:  8:00am till 5:00pm two full intensive days
